Hi Everyone,

I hope you all had great summers.

I have an event to share with you. As you know Gary stepped down to be at home a little more often and to see a few more soccer games. What you may not know is that he and Swanny have been cooking up a way to recruit and train our areas newer umpires, as well as training our current umpires for advancement.

Our entire Section (All 5 Districts) has been invited to attend a clinic this November. All of the DA’s have jumped on board and are very excited about this projects possibilities.

The goal would be to increase the amount of umpires in our area and give those umpires who wish an opportunity to advance to High School and possibly College baseball.

The clinic will be at American River College on November 9, 10, and 11th.

Take a minute or two and read the attachment and Clear Your Schedule!!

This clinic is free to everyone 16 and older, so please spread the word.

You can sign up on-line or fill out the registration and mail it.

If you have any questions feel free to give me a call.

Enjoyed the clinic

Dan:

I had a great time this past weekend with you and your staff, and
wish to congratulate all of you on an excellent training program! I had
spoken with you at the end of the program about my interest in training
this Feb. 2008 to begin doing High School games. I was wondering what
the dates for that session are to begin?? I would appreciate any info.
Thanks again for your time!

the HS group is another great place to get additional training. Right now the First meeting is planed for the First Monday of January. Watch the web site for more info. They meetings will be listed in the
events calender.

We also encourage umpires who just want training to attend. Even if they do not intend doing
HS baseball. They may attend the classes with out paying the HS Group Dues.

You can signup now for the Feb umpire clinic. It is a Three day clinic focusing all on the 90' diamond.

Check the online quiz section. Take the Rules Myths quiz. Look for a monthly new quiz

Congrats on a great clinic

Gary,

Congratulations to you, Swanny and all the rest for making this event happen. It's a great start in building a community of umpires in the Sacramento area.

Bill

Thanks for the clinic

Bill,

Thank You for all the hard work and intensity you Instructors demonstrated this weekend. I was very pleased with the level of instruction, organization, and patience all the instructors had with the clinic attendees. I would say more, but than you would "start to blush...etc."

Seriously, Great Job! Thank You.

Bob
