Umpire Liability for Non-conforming games
I was recently talking to another umpire after a little league game and was told this story: One team didn't have enough players to start a game. The other team gave them on of their players to fill the roster. The umpires stayed and officiated the game even though it would not be official. By doing this aren't they exposing themselves to a liability suit if a player gets injured? Comments please.
