Umpires Needed Memorial Day Weekend
Umpires
Please help Sunrise Little League this
weekend. They need Volunteer umpires to help with their Memorial Day
tournament. Helping with this tournament will add to umpires community
image. Both NCOA and RCOA are taking umpires voluntarism into account
when promoting and assigning umpires to games. As a group umpires need
this type of community outreach to continue promoting a positive image
in the community.
There are games Starting Friday at 5:00
pm Saturday and Sunday start at 8 am and have time slots all day long.
Monday will be the Host leagues choice for championships. I believe
these games are at C-Bar-C

Joe Brindley emailed me and is helping on Friday at 5:00 pm
I will be there friday at 5 for two games (could use some help on still)
Sat I will be there for 1 game in the after noon.

VOLUNTEERING
I talked with Mara on thursday and scheduled one game for saturday and two games on sunday night.Then Mara called me saturday morning and said she had double boooked the saturday night game,I guess saturday nights game wasn't meant to be,haha.I guess i'll just be doing the two saturday games.

Great Turn Out
It looks like the tournament had a great showing of support from Sacumpires.com. I also saw a lot of faces from the clinics we had put on in February and April. I just want to say great job to those of you who stepped up and offered to support a good tournament.

Mara with sunrise Little League was very impressed with the turn out she got over the weekend at there tournament.I umpired two games behind the plate on sunday and one on the bases.Then Mara called me on Monday morning and told me she was in a bind because they had a cancellation for the JRs championship game and could i cover it for her.So ofcourse i said yes.
They treated the umpires very good out there,food,drinks an umpire shirt and a tournament t-shirt
